Flower - Growth and Accomplisment
The flower will always be a symbol of life in bloom; that life is flourishing as it should. There is something delightful about budding flowers and given their short days or week in the glorious sun they are to be appreciated. The flower symbolises, young, transformation and beauty. Flower have beautiful scents used in perfumes, essential oils, incense, cleaning products and so on. We give flowers for love, accomplishment, appreciation, birthdays, bereavement and friendship. Sometimes they are dried and kept as special mementos. Flowers provide glorious colours, a sort of colour therapy that draws you too a vibrant or calming shade. Flowers are very symbolic in spiritual practice – the lotus is a major symbol of Buddhism and the rose is a symbol of the Virgin Mary and the red rose portrays the blood of the Christian Martyrs. The Greeks and Romans identified the rose as a symbol of love linked to the Goddesses Aphrodite and Venus.
